Managing Director
Dan Engel is a visionary and dynamic operating, financial, investment, non-profit and social enterprise executive who has spent the past 15 years devoted to impacting the communities in which he lives, works and operates. Dan began his professional career as an investment banker, helped build a company that was sold to Berkshire Hathaway, became a non-profit junkie, and resumed his financial career managing a single-family office. He is an author and an inspirational speaker who tells stories of perseverance.
At the family office, Dan’s initial role was to manage the investment process covering real estate, private equity, venture capital and alternative funds. His role grew to encompass other businesses including as COO and a partner in The Holdsworth Group, a capital partner, advisor, and curator of alternative investments for family offices and corporations worldwide; COO of THG Advisory Services; and COO/Chief Compliance Officer for THG Securities Advisors, manager of a hedge fund.
Dan graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Economics and earned a combined JD/MBA from Berkeley Law and the Haas School of Business. Dan maintains Series 6, 63, and licenses, along with active life and health insurance credentials.
